Femeile însărcinate vor avea dreptul la însoțitor în timpul travaliului și nașterii. Proiectul de lege, adoptat de Camera Deputaților

The Romanian Chamber of Deputies has approved a law ensuring pregnant women the right to a companion and privacy during labor and childbirth. Hospitals must provide adequate visual and auditory separation to protect the privacy of patients. The law emphasizes the dignity and privacy of pregnant women throughout their pregnancy, labor, and after childbirth. Women can choose a companion during labor, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations. Newborns have the right to stay with their mothers immediately after birth, barring medical or safety reasons, and hospitals must facilitate early mother-newborn contact and breastfeeding.
