A 75-year-old woman from Bucharest was scammed out of over 50,000 lei by two men posing as police and bank officials. They convinced her to withdraw money under false pretenses, claiming her bank accounts were compromised. The scammers were arrested after one of them attempted to collect the cash from her home. Police apprehended both individuals, who are now facing charges of fraud.
