A 63-year-old woman died after being severely beaten by her husband, who kept her without medical help for three days. Prosecutors in Călărași have reclassified the charges against the 67-year-old man from domestic violence to causing death through bodily harm. The woman was discovered by a social worker and later died in the hospital due to complications from her injuries.
