The University of Bucharest's Faculty of Geology and Geophysics saw a remarkable increase in candidates, with Geophysics applications rising from 15 to 93, a 500% increase. Geology also experienced growth, with 112 candidates compared to 39 last year. This trend reflects a growing demand for specialists in these fields due to the evolving energy sector. Similar increases were noted in the Faculty of Physics, particularly in Medical Physics and Chemistry programs, with significant competition for places. The Faculty of Law also reported a rise in candidates, nearing 1700 this year. Overall, there is a notable interest in science and applied fields among students.
