Facturile la energie ar putea crește din cauza secetei de pe Dunăre, avertizează un secretar de stat
The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, Cristian Bușoi, warns that energy prices may rise due to the severe drought affecting the Danube. Although current contracts remain stable, future costs could impact consumer bills. The Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant's Reactor 2 may only operate for a few more days without urgent interventions to redirect water flow. The Romanian government has declared a national alert due to the low water levels in the Danube, allocating funds for necessary works to ensure cooling systems function properly. Measures to reduce energy consumption during peak hours are also being considered.
