Romanian consumers may face higher electricity bills due to an ongoing energy crisis, as warned by former Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. He noted that evening energy imports are more expensive, which could affect consumer prices. Discussions with major energy consumers are ongoing, but no additional measures are planned by the government. Bolojan highlighted Romania's lag in energy project development compared to Bulgaria, which effectively stores and utilizes energy. He indicated that while solutions won't come quickly, a more stable situation could emerge by 2027, although rising import prices may lead to increased costs for consumers in the meantime.
