Facebook și Instagram, limitate la două ore pe zi pentru adolescenți. Noile reguli Meta după acordul de 17 miliarde de dolari
Meta has introduced new restrictions for teenagers using Facebook and Instagram, including a daily limit of two hours, night mode, and school mode notifications. These changes are part of a $17.1 billion settlement with U.S. authorities addressing concerns about excessive use among minors. The rules will not automatically apply to users outside the U.S. Key features include blocking access to main app functions at night, disabling notifications during school hours, and encouraging breaks after 15 minutes of continuous use. Additionally, likes will be hidden by default for users under 18, and parents can set a non-personalized feed option. Meta aims to improve age verification systems to better protect younger users.
