A Japanese beer giant acquires a Romanian factory through a German company, enhancing production capacity in Central and Eastern Europe. Agsira, based in Ișalnița, operates a facility in Mizil that produces yeast for animal feed. The acquisition by Leiber, owned by Asahi since 2025, aims to improve supply routes and market access. Leiber, founded in 1954, has production sites in Germany, Poland, and Spain, and reported a revenue of around 115 million euros last year. Asahi Group, a major global beer producer, had a turnover of approximately 16 billion euros in fiscal 2025.
