Fabrică de ulei de 45 de milioane de euro în Cluj

A new oil factory worth approximately 45 million euros is being built in Mihai Viteazu, Cluj County, by the Agricultural Cooperative Podișul Transilvaniei. The project, co-financed by CEC Bank, is set to be operational by the end of 2027. The facility will process 600 tons of seeds daily and will cover 8.5 hectares, including six silos and storage spaces. It will also feature a 1.65 MW agrivoltaic installation to reduce operational costs. This investment aims to enhance local processing capabilities in a sector where Romania is a leading sunflower seed producer in the EU, yet still imports processed products. The cooperative consists of 21 farmers from Cluj, Alba, and Mureș, and construction is already underway.
