Around 70 ships are waiting near the Sulina Canal for access to Ukrainian ports to load grain for export, facing delays due to pilot shortages and priority cargoes. The ongoing Russian attacks have severely disrupted grain exports, redirecting shipments to smaller Danube ports. The situation is exacerbated by frequent air raid alerts and adverse weather conditions, which could further hinder operations. Ukraine's grain export capacity through the Danube has significantly decreased compared to previous years, although there is a gradual increase in shipments.
