South Korea's exports have reached $709.4 billion this year, surpassing the previous record set in 2025, driven by strong global demand for AI chips. The country is on track to achieve annual exports of $1 trillion by early December, becoming the fourth nation to reach this milestone. Semiconductor exports surged by 169.6% year-on-year, accounting for 41% of total exports. However, automobile exports saw a 4% decline in the same period. Exports to China and the U.S. increased significantly, leading to an improved economic growth forecast of 3.3% for the year, according to the Bank of Korea.
