An explosion occurred at the Sadu Mechanical Plant in Gorj County, injuring a 54-year-old employee who was working on explosive manufacturing. The incident happened around 8:30 AM during a procedure involving a precipitating vessel. A hose exploded, causing burns and shrapnel injuries to the worker's body, including a fracture in his right leg. Fortunately, no other employees were harmed. The accident has been reported to the Territorial Labor Inspectorate for further investigation. The Sadu Mechanical Plant is known for its defense industry production and has recently announced new investments for NATO ammunition manufacturing.
