EXCLUSIV Mii de funcționari români care lucrează în marile instituții internaționale au intrat în incompatibilitate din cauza Legii Integrității / E prejudiciat și interesul României de a popula cu angajați instituțiile euro-atlantice
Recent changes to the Integrity Law in Romania have created a dilemma for public officials working in international organizations. They must choose between resigning from their Romanian positions or giving up their international careers, as the new law prohibits them from holding both roles simultaneously. This situation has arisen due to a modification that extends incompatibility rules to include the suspension of their Romanian contracts. Thousands of officials now face this choice, which could lead to a loss of expertise in critical areas such as EU funding and security policy. The law's intent to facilitate knowledge transfer back to Romania is contradicted by its requirements, potentially harming the country's strategic interests.
