The Lot 1 Sibiu – Boița section of the Sibiu – Pitești highway will be closed for several months due to construction work at the Boița junction. Drivers will be redirected to DN7, potentially causing traffic congestion in the Olt Valley. The closure is necessary for the construction of a viaduct and the connection of the A13 highway. Although temporary traffic solutions were considered, the current plan is a full closure, impacting direct access between Sibiu and Boița.
