Swiss company AktivDog plans to establish a dog food production facility in Ocna Sibiului by the end of 2028, with an investment of 8-9 million euros. The project is currently in the design and authorization phase, having already acquired the land. The choice of Sibiu County is due to its strong development and excellent transport connections, as well as the German-speaking population in the area.
