Adrian Pintea, director of APIA, has been indicted by DNA for instigating abuse of office related to an illegal hiring. He allegedly pressured a subordinate to facilitate a transfer that violated legal provisions. Pintea, a PSD member, previously served as a state secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture. The case also involves Romeo Șoldea, director of the National Phytosanitary Authority, who is accused of similar offenses. The investigation revealed that the transferred individual lacked the necessary qualifications for the position.
