The modernization project for the southern sector of Bucharest's old ring road has faced another setback as the contract for the feasibility study was officially terminated. The National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) canceled the contract due to the contractor's failure to meet obligations and deadlines. The project, which aimed to enhance traffic safety and capacity, remains stalled with no clear timeline for resuming the procurement process. Only a small portion of the required documentation was approved before the contract's termination, leaving the southern sector of the ring road without necessary upgrades.
