Călin Georgescu will remain unemployed for another year as his teaching position at the University of Politehnica Bucharest has been suspended. He has had no income for two years, despite living in a villa and having bodyguards. His teaching contract was suspended during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic years, and it will continue to be suspended for the 2026-2027 year. The university confirmed that his position is reserved, allowing for a potential return, but the suspension can last indefinitely under current laws. Georgescu previously earned a salary of 7,000 lei at the University of Pitești, which is now part of the Politehnica.
