The analysis highlights that the practice of receiving income from copyright is prevalent in journalism and video chat sectors. The top 40 net incomes from copyright ranged from 25 million to 1.66 million lei annually. Notably, six of the top eight earners did not owe social contributions due to existing tax exemptions for those with employment contracts. This situation raises questions about the fairness of the tax system, which allows high earners to avoid certain contributions while still benefiting from lower taxable income through employment contracts.
