Examenul de admitere la liceu revine din 2027
Starting in 2027, high schools in Romania will be able to organize their own admission exams for a portion of ninth-grade places, despite criticism regarding potential inequalities. The Ministry of Education has opened public consultation on the exam rules, which will apply to students who were in fifth grade in the 2023-2024 school year. The law allows schools to conduct exams for up to 50% of their available spots, alongside the National Evaluation. Supporters argue this will help match students to their chosen profiles, while critics warn it may exacerbate disparities among students from different backgrounds.
