Candidates for priesthood in the Archdiocese of Sibiu underwent a rigorous examination consisting of theological and administrative tests. Only those with averages above 7 can compete for parish priest positions. The autumn session took place on September 17, 2026, at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology. Twelve candidates, all spiritual children of the Archdiocese and theology graduates, participated. The exam included written and oral components, assessing knowledge in various theological fields. The evaluation committee was led by the Archbishop of Sibiu and included faculty members. Passing the exam allows candidates to apply for vacant parish positions, with validity varying based on scores. Additionally, a doctoral admission exam occurred on the same day, highlighting the importance of these assessments for future church leaders and academic development.
