This initiative aims to enhance price transparency and promote competition among gas stations. The data will be sourced from the government’s Fuel Finder platform, covering 99% of stations. With rising fuel costs due to global supply issues, this change is seen as significant. The average diesel price recently hit £2 per liter, a 40% increase since February. Energy consumer minister Polly Billington emphasized the importance of easy access to affordable fuel, stating this feature will help drivers save money.
