A criminal investigation is underway regarding the electoral documents at a polling station in Giurgiu during the presidential elections on May 4, 2025. Prosecutors have detained seven individuals suspected of document forgery and electoral evidence manipulation. Allegations include falsely certifying voter presence and forging signatures on electoral lists. Additionally, incorrect data was reportedly entered into the voting presence monitoring system. Following the investigation, seven individuals were detained for 24 hours, while three others are under judicial control. The inquiry continues to determine the exact nature of the accusations.
