A masterpiece by Giotto, the Polyptych, will be exhibited in Iași, Romania, from October 4 to 30, 2026, marking its first time outside Italy. This event is part of the Italy-Romania Cultural Year 2026, organized by the Italian Embassy in Bucharest. Giotto, a pivotal figure in Western art, transformed medieval artistic conventions by introducing naturalism and emotional depth in his works. The Polyptych, created for Bologna, showcases Giotto's artistic maturity and is one of only three works signed by him. The exhibition is a collaboration between several cultural institutions and is part of the SACRUM Art Festival in Iași, focusing on the intersection of art and spirituality.
