Eurostat: România, printre statele UE cu cele mai mari creşteri ale preţului la benzină

Romania experienced significant increases in gasoline prices in August 2026, ranking among the highest in the EU with a rise of 6.6%. Diesel prices also saw a 6.1% increase, which is lower than the EU average. Compared to August 2025, fuel prices in Romania rose by 26.7%, slightly above the EU average of 23.8%. In August, 22 EU countries reported price increases for gasoline, with Spain leading at 8.2%. Diesel prices increased in 26 EU countries, with the highest rises in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. Overall, fuel prices in the EU rose by 23.8% year-on-year, with 18 countries seeing increases over 20%.
