Eurostat: România are al treilea cel mai mic salariu minim din UE

Romania has the third lowest minimum wage in the EU, despite a recent increase. The minimum wage is now 825 euros, higher only than Bulgaria and Latvia. Over the past decade, Romania has seen one of the fastest growth rates in minimum wage, averaging 11.6% annually. The recent increase, effective from July 1, 2026, raised the minimum wage from 4,050 lei to 4,325 lei, a 6.8% rise.
