Eurostat's report reveals Romania's minimum wage ranks low in the EU, at 825 euros, only above Bulgaria and Latvia. The highest minimum wages exceed 2,000 euros, with Luxembourg leading at 2,771 euros. Despite this, Romania has seen one of the highest annual growth rates for minimum wage in the EU, at 11.6%. The minimum wage increased from 4,050 to 4,325 lei as of July 1, 2026.
