Eurostat: 61,4% dintre români nu își permit o săptămână de vacanță. Cea mai mare pondere din Uniunea Europeană

According to Eurostat, 61.4% of Romanians aged 16 and over cannot afford a week's vacation, the highest rate in the EU. This figure has increased from 58.6% in 2024. Romania's rate is significantly higher than the EU average of 27.5%. The country is followed by Greece and Bulgaria, with 46.6% and 39.1%, respectively. The data indicates a worsening situation for Romanians, as the percentage of those unable to afford a vacation has risen over the past year. Additionally, 27.4% of the Romanian population is at risk of poverty or social exclusion, one of the highest rates in the EU. Eurostat's findings highlight the financial challenges faced by many households in Romania.
