Europa se pregătește pentru dezastre tot mai grave. Peste 669.000 de hectare au ars în 2026, iar inundațiile produc pagube de miliarde de euro. România, în noul plan european
Wildfires have devastated over 669,000 hectares in Europe in 2026, surpassing the previous year's record. Floods are causing annual economic losses of €8.6 billion in the EU. In response to increasing disasters and cyber threats, the EU is enhancing emergency preparedness with a campaign launched in seven member states, including Romania. The campaign, initiated on October 13, aims to showcase how European countries are preparing for joint disaster responses. Romania has experienced severe weather impacts, including the 2024 storm Boris, and is actively participating in EU intervention operations. The EU has allocated €3.6 billion for its Civil Protection Mechanism from 2021 to 2027, supporting response capabilities and cooperation among member states. The campaign will run until December 2026, focusing on flood preparedness and resilience against crises.
