Europa de Est se îmbogățește, dar România rămâne în urmă. Cristian Hostiuc: „Nu avem cum să recuperăm în 10-30 de ani ceea ce alții au făcut în 300 de ani. Totuși, avem miliardari și milionari”
Eastern Europe is experiencing the fastest growth in personal wealth globally, but Romania is not among the top markets for millionaires. The Romanian state is creating new wealthy individuals through public contracts and an expanding budget apparatus. A critical distinction exists between private entrepreneurs and oligarchs connected to the state, with many new wealthy individuals being former or current politicians. Despite having billionaires and thousands of millionaires, Romania lags behind countries like Poland and the Czech Republic in wealth creation. The growth in Eastern Europe is attributed to a rapid recovery towards Western living standards, leading to the emergence of new millionaires and billionaires.
