The European Union aims to attract significant investments from banks and institutional investors to support tech companies' growth. The European Commission and the European Investment Bank launched the European Institutional Investors Pact to mobilize up to €80 billion for scaling up European firms. This initiative, part of the European Tech Champions Initiative 2.0, seeks to enhance access to long-term capital for innovative companies. Thirteen institutional investors have already committed to directing funds towards the European innovation ecosystem. The pact includes a platform for investment opportunities and aims to improve exit strategies for investors, addressing the funding gap faced by growing companies in Europe.
