Europa, asaltată de carnea de pui ieftină din China. Bruxelles-ul urmărește importurile

Cheap chicken meat from China is increasingly dominating the European market, posing a threat to local producers. The European Commission is monitoring rising imports and preparing stricter labeling regulations for food origin. Chinese exports of processed poultry have surged, capturing a larger market share, with prices significantly lower than competitors from Brazil and Thailand. Authorities are concerned about the impact on EU producers and have initiated investigations into unfair competition practices. Despite past food safety issues, China is investing heavily in agriculture to boost exports, while domestic consumption patterns shift towards chicken. By 2025, China became a net exporter of chicken, with export values nearly doubling since 2020.
