The projects focus on drones, space defense, maritime security, and air defense. The decision enables funding through the European Defense Industry Program (EDIP), which has a budget of €1.5 billion. The most ambitious project, "Eastern Flank Watch," could reach €100 billion by 2036, supported mainly by Central and Eastern European countries. France will not participate in this project but will engage in others related to drone combat and integrated air defense. This initiative reflects Europe's commitment to enhancing its defense capabilities through collaboration among member states.
