The previous rate was 5.2777 lei, indicating a 1.27% rise. The euro's surge was anticipated in the interbank market, where it quickly surpassed the 5.34 lei mark. The dollar was quoted at 4.7519 lei, while the British pound and Swiss franc also saw increases. The gold gram price rose to 639.2010 lei, though it remains below this year's peak of 680.6943 lei.
