eTravel has acquired a majority stake in Accent Travel & Events, marking its entry into the Romanian market. The transaction's value remains undisclosed. Accent Travel, founded in 1999, will retain its brand and operations, with Lucian Boronea continuing as CEO. eTravel, established in 2011, primarily operates in Poland and the Czech Republic, and expects to process over 1.5 million bookings this year. The acquisition allows eTravel to expand its services in Central and Eastern Europe, offering a broader range of travel solutions to Romanian clients. Andrzej Wierzba, eTravel's CEO, emphasized the alignment with Accent's business.
