PSD President Sorin Grindeanu urged interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan to negotiate a delay for closing coal power plants in Brussels. He emphasized that Romania should not shut down energy production capacities without alternatives in place. Grindeanu highlighted that the closure of these plants could have severe economic consequences and proposed a legislative project to prevent any shutdowns until replacements are operational. He warned against relying solely on energy imports, stating that such actions could harm Romania's economy, which is already in recession.
