The tram extension through Unirii Square in Bucharest is set for a vote, aiming to connect lines 21 and 32. This project, initiated in 2021-2022, includes a double track of approximately 1.26 km, with an estimated cost of over 58 million euros and a completion time of 18 months. The new route will feature several stops and requires reconfiguration of existing intersections. The tram previously operated in this area until 1986-1987, when it was removed for metro construction.
