The Basarab Passage in Bucharest will reopen to traffic on both lanes starting September 7, with trams also resuming service. The local administration announced that road markings will be finalized for the other direction, which currently has temporary markings. Ongoing works will involve temporary traffic stops during the day and one lane closures at night until the end of the year. Recent work included asphalt laying and road marking, with further repairs planned for the bridge's support pillars and interior. The passage was inaugurated in 2011, but its reception only began this year.
