Union representatives indicated that Metrorex has only about 3,000 lei left in its accounts, and many employees might request leave if salaries are not paid on time. The critical date for salary payments is September 12, and if the situation does not improve, the metro's operation could be at risk. The union president highlighted the financial pressures on employees, especially with school starting and existing debts.
