Despite the energy crisis, the Romanian market is resistant to excessive pricing. ELCEN's offers for continuous energy delivery have been rejected, with prices significantly above market expectations. CE Oltenia also faced similar challenges, attempting to sell energy at a slightly lower price but still finding no buyers. Both companies are burdened by emission certificate costs, further complicating their pricing strategies. Energy prices in Romania are rising, influenced by reduced hydro and nuclear production, with the average market price reaching 904 lei/MWh, higher than in some major European markets.
