Eşec al premierului ceh Andrej Babis, eurosceptic și anti-Ucraina, în alegerile parțiale pentru Senat
In the recent Senate elections in the Czech Republic, opposition parties gained significant votes against Prime Minister Andrej Babis's ANO party. Babis described the results as "catastrophic," although they are unlikely to destabilize his coalition government. The Senate plays a crucial role in constitutional amendments and confirming judicial candidates. Despite the electoral setback, ANO remains the leading party in national polls. The turnout for the second round of elections was low, following a previous round. The Independent Mayors party emerged as the top performer, winning 10 out of 14 contested seats, while the Civic Democrats secured seven seats.
