A woman in Bucharest was deceived into withdrawing 129,000 lei after being contacted by individuals posing as police officers. They claimed a loan was taken out in her name and convinced her to take out a loan to 'cancel' it. After withdrawing the money, she handed it over to a young man outside the bank, who was later arrested along with two accomplices. Investigations revealed that two of the suspects had previously been involved in a similar scam. Authorities warn the public to be cautious of such calls and to verify information through official channels.
