Erste revizuiește în scădere prognoza pentru economia României:
Erste Group Research has downgraded its forecast for Romania's economy in 2026, now predicting a 0.7% contraction in GDP. Analysts expect a recession this year, following stagnation in Q2 and a 0.7% decline in the first half. The revision is attributed to weaker-than-expected performance in early 2026, with high inflation impacting consumer spending. While investments, particularly in infrastructure, showed positive contributions, private consumption and net exports negatively affected GDP. Erste anticipates a slight recovery in consumption later this year, but overall, private consumption is expected to decline. For 2027, a return to potential growth of 2.2% is projected, driven by recovering consumption and sustained investments.
