Eroul pe patru picioare. Un câine din Iași donează sânge pentru alte patrupede
A blood bank for animals is set to launch in Iași by the end of the year, aimed at facilitating emergency transfusions. The initiative will provide blood to veterinarians in the region, with the first donor being Boica, a large mixed-breed dog who was rescued after being hit by a car. Boica, now a healthy four-year-old, regularly donates blood to help other animals in need. The project, in collaboration with VetBloodCenter from Bucharest, aims to establish a collection center for blood donations, ensuring a steady supply for veterinary emergencies. Healthy, vaccinated, and dewormed animals are eligible to donate, with a focus on younger dogs and cats. The campaign seeks to recruit more donors to meet the ongoing demand for blood in veterinary care.
