EPPO: Fraudă cu fonduri europene de 4 milioane de euro la un spital din România

The European Public Prosecutor's Office conducted seven searches related to suspected fraud in a public procurement project worth approximately 4 million euros. The investigation focuses on the acquisition of medical equipment aimed at reducing healthcare-associated infections. Evidence suggests that the project's budget may have been artificially inflated through manipulated cost estimates. Nearly 70 fake price offers were allegedly used to justify expenses. The project is funded by the EU's Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, and the case was initially reported by the National Anticorruption Directorate.
