Episcopia Oradiei cercetează primirea lui Georgescu la Mănăstirea „Sfânta Cruce”
The Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Oradea has initiated an investigation following Călin Georgescu's participation in a liturgy where he was referred to as 'the elected president.' The Diocese expressed disappointment over the event, stating it blurred the lines between ecclesiastical hospitality and political promotion, which contradicts the Church's sacred and non-partisan nature. Prior to the event, the Bishop had warned clergy to avoid political associations. The Diocese emphasized that the Church does not align with any political ideology and respects secular authority without compromising its divine mission. Georgescu, addressing supporters, denied being in an electoral campaign, asserting that power belongs to the people.
