A research team has discovered the wreckage of a Pan American Airways plane that crashed off Puerto Rico's coast over 70 years ago, ending a long-standing mystery. The aircraft, known as 'Clipper Endeavor', was located by the Air/Sea Heritage Foundation and other organizations. It crashed on April 11, 1952, shortly after takeoff, with 64 passengers and five crew members on board. While all survived the initial impact, only 12 passengers and the crew were rescued. This tragedy led to significant safety measures in aviation. Modern technology, including high-resolution sonar and autonomous underwater drones, aided the search. The wreck was found about 600 meters deep, providing closure for researchers and victims' families.
