He noted that the Italian Defense Minister also dismissed these allegations. The Spanish newspaper El Mundo reported that the CIA had alerted several Southern European governments about possible Russian drone attacks on Spain, France, and Italy. Macron referenced a recent drone attack in Germany attributed to Russia, stating that while France has not experienced a similar attack, the possibility remains. He emphasized that Russia views Europe as strategically vital to Ukraine and suggested that a new mobilization of Russian troops is a credible scenario. Macron believes Russia may need to advance significantly to gain control over unoccupied territories in the Donbas region, which could lead to severe losses for Ukraine.
