The mayor of Cluj-Napoca, Emil Boc, urgently requested the National Environmental Guard to halt the spreading of organic fertilizers due to complaints about unpleasant odors in the city. He described the situation as intolerable and demanded public apologies from Transavia S.A. for the discomfort caused to residents. Boc urged authorities and Transavia to find alternative solutions to prevent future issues. The National Environmental Guard noted that complaints about fertilizer spreading have been recorded since August 4, 2026, and that odor discomfort may vary based on weather conditions. They also referenced agricultural practices regulations without confirming compliance in this case.
