In Chirpăr, only 12 Saxons remain, with Emanuel Drotleff being one of the youngest at 39. He balances farming, caring for animals, and maintaining the local fortified church. Emanuel, who spent part of his childhood in Germany, feels a strong connection to Chirpăr and its traditions. He actively participates in community life and preserves the unique history of the Saxon church. Despite the dwindling population, he remains committed to his roots and the local culture, stating that Chirpăr is his true home.
